Jagtagaon High School is located in Matikunda - II - VI, Islampur, Raiganj, West Bengal and was established in year 1960. The school is a Co-educational and is located in Rural area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with State Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Department of Education. This is primarily Bengali medium school.

This school has around two thousand students studying who are taught by 21 teachers, which makes the student-teacher ratio of 95 students per teacher. Seventeen teachers are appointed on Regular basis and rest four are appointed on Contract basis. Fifteen teachers are Male and remaining six are Female.
