Eklavya Model Residential School is located in Kumari / VIII, Manbazar-Ii, Purulia, West Bengal and was established in year 2002. The school is a Co-educational and is located in Rural area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with State Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Social welfare Department. The language used to teach students is English.

The institution has strength of around five hundred students being taught by around 18 teachers, thus making the student-teacher ratio of 25 students per teacher. Four teachers are appointed on Regular basis and rest fourteen are appointed on Contract basis. Seventeen teachers are Male and remaining one is Female. In terms of Academic qualification one teacher is Graduate and rest seventeen are Post Graduate. Two teachers are trained in Computer. The student classroom ratio is 32:1, means on an average thirty two students sit in a classroom which is very good. There are 175 students in class VI to VIII and 269 students in class IX to XII.

The school is in a Govt. building and it has pucca boundary walls. The school has total fourteen clasrooms and two other rooms. The school has DTH facility for students. The school has one laptop, twenty five desktops, one scanner, two printers and one generator in its premises. There is library for students. There are four boys toilets, four girls toilets and eight cwsn toilets for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
