The Gurukul

The Gurukul is located in Bakal Kapaua, Bakal Kapohuwa, Dhemaji, Assam. Established 15 years ago, this school is a Co-educational and is located in Urban area. This is a Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with State Board for class-X exams. The school is managed by Private Unaided (Recognized). It is located in 113-Dhemaji assembly constituency. The language used to teach students is English but Assamese and Hindi is also spoken during classes.

The institution has around four hundred students studying who are taught by 20 teachers, which makes the student-teacher ratio of 16 students per teacher. Seventeen teachers are appointed on Regular basis, two are appointed on Part-time basis and rest one is appointed on Contract basis. Nine teachers are Male and remaining eleven are Female. In terms of Academic qualification one teacher is Below Graduate, fifteen are Graduate and rest four are Post Graduate. Ten teachers are trained in Computer. The student classroom ratio is 22:1, means on an average twenty two students sit in a classroom which is very good. There are 59 kids in pre primary, 146 students in class I to V, 76 students in class VI to VIII and 29 students in class IX to XII.

The school has two laptops, five desktops, two printers, one LED, one digiboard, one webcam and three generators in its premises. There is reading corner, library and book bank for students.
