Shankar High School

Shankar High School is located in Samalbong IV, Kalimpong-I, Kalimpong, West Bengal. Established in year 1952, the school is a Co-educational and is located in Rural area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with State Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Department of Education. The language used to teach students is English but Nepali and Bengali is also spoken during classes.

This institution has enrolled around six hundred students and has recruited total 19 teachers, which makes the student-teacher ratio of 30 students per teacher. There are two boys toilets and two girls toilets for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
