Secpad Model School

Secpad Model School is located in Karshah, Zanskar, Kargil, Ladakh. Established in year 1996, the school is a Co-educational and is located in Rural area. This is a Upper Primary school and is currently operational. The school is managed by Private Unaided (Recognized). It comes under Zanaskar 50 assembly constituency. The language used to teach students is English but Urdu and Hindi is also spoken during classes.

This school has around two hundred students studying who are taught by 14 teachers. The student-teacher ratio is 11 students per teacher. Thirteen teachers are appointed on Regular basis and rest one is appointed on Contract basis. Nine teachers are Male and remaining five are Female. In terms of Academic qualification five teachers are Below Graduate, six are Graduate and rest three are Post Graduate. None of the teachers are trained in Computer. The student classroom ratio is 11:1, means on an average eleven students sit in a classroom which is very good. There are 24 kids in pre primary, 93 students in class I to V and 37 students in class VI to VIII.

The school is in a private building and it has pucca boundary walls. The school has total fourteen clasrooms and five other rooms. The school has both internet facility and DTH facility for students. The school has one laptop, seven desktops, one tablet, one scanner, one printer and one LED in its premises. There is reading corner, library and book bank for students. There are four boys toilets and four girls toilets for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
