S.B.Modern High School is located in Ward-24, Kolkata Municipal Corporation, Kolkata, West Bengal and was established in year 1960. The school is a Boys and is located in Urban area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with CBSE Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Department of Education. This is primarily Hindi medium school but English, Other languages and Bengali is also spoken during classes.

The school has enrolled around four hundred students being taught by around 10 teachers. The school has student-teacher ratio of 40 students per teacher. All of the teachers are appointed on Regular basis. Six teachers are Male and remaining four are Female. In terms of Academic qualification four teachers are Graduate and rest six are Post Graduate. There are 49 students in class I to V, 115 students in class VI to VIII and 232 students in class IX to XII.

The school is in a rented building and it has pucca boundary walls. The school has total twenty clasrooms and eleven other rooms. The school has internet facility for students. The school has one desktop, one scanner and one printer in its premises. There is reading corner, library and book bank for students. There are four boys toilets for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
