Lokshikshan High School

Lokshikshan High School is located in Gaunwada Dhargal, Dhargal, Pernem, Goa and was established in year 1968. The school is a Co-educational and is located in Rural area. This is a Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with State Board for class-X exams. The school is managed by Government Aided. It is located in Pernem assembly constituency. This is primarily English medium school but Marathi is also spoken during classes.

This institution has strength of around three hundred students who are taught by 13 teachers, thus making the student-teacher ratio of 17 students per teacher. Eleven teachers are appointed on Regular basis and rest two are appointed on Contract basis. Four teachers are Male and remaining nine are Female. In terms of Academic qualification one teacher is Below Graduate, seven are Graduate and rest five are Post Graduate. Nine teachers are trained in Computer. The student classroom ratio is 19:1, means on an average nineteen students sit in a classroom which is very good. There are 16 kids in pre primary, 101 students in class I to V, 69 students in class VI to VIII and 36 students in class IX to XII.

The school is in a rented building and it has pucca boundary walls. The school has total twelve clasrooms and seven other rooms. The school has internet facility for students. The school has six desktops and two printers in its premises. There is both reading corner and library for students. There are two boys toilets and two girls toilets for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
