Kendriya Vidyalaya is located in Ward-22, Balurghat, West Bengal. Established 15 years ago, this school is a Co-educational and is located in Urban area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with CBSE Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Kendriya Vidyalaya. The first mode of communication is English in the school but Hindi is also spoken during classes.

This school teaches around six hundred students and has 16 teachers to teach them, thus making the student-teacher ratio of 35 students per teacher. All of the teachers are appointed on Regular basis. Fourteen teachers are Male and remaining two are Female. In terms of Academic qualification three teachers are Below Graduate, six are Graduate and rest seven are Post Graduate. Eight teachers are trained in Computer. The student classroom ratio is 23:1, means on an average twenty three students sit in a classroom which is very good. There are 227 students in class I to V, 128 students in class VI to VIII and 206 students in class IX to XII.

The school has internet facility for students. The school has twenty two desktops, one scanner, three printers, one webcam and one generator in its premises. There is reading corner, library and book bank for students. There are twenty boys toilets, twenty girls toilets and four cwsn toilets for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
