Central School For Tibetans

Central School For Tibetans is located in Kalimpong Municipality Ward 7, Kalimpong Municipality, Kalimpong, West Bengal. Established in year 1964, the school is a Co-educational and is located in Urban area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with CBSE Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Central Tibetan School. The first mode of communication is English in the school but Hindi and Other languages is also spoken during classes.

This school teaches around four hundred students being taught by around 25 teachers, which makes the student-teacher ratio of 13 students per teacher. Sixteen teachers are appointed on Regular basis and rest nine are appointed on Contract basis. Twelve teachers are Male and remaining thirteen are Female. In terms of Academic qualification three teachers are Below Graduate, five are Graduate and rest seventeen are Post Graduate. 24 teachers are trained in Computer. The student classroom ratio is 20:1, means on an average twenty students sit in a classroom which is very good. There are 34 students in class I to V, 65 students in class VI to VIII and 224 students in class IX to XII.

The school is in a Govt. building and it has pucca boundary walls. The school has total sixteen clasrooms and ten other rooms. The school has both internet facility and DTH facility for students. The school has two laptops, twenty five desktops, two scanners, seven printers, four LEDs and one generator in its premises. There is both reading corner and library for students. There are ten boys toilets, ten girls toilets and one cwsn toilet for students. The school has both hand wash facility and drinking water facility for people.
