Algarah Higher Secondary School

Algarah Higher Secondary School is located in Santook V, Kalimpong-Ii, Kalimpong, West Bengal and was established in year 1980. The school is a Co-educational and is located in Rural area. This is a Higher Secondary school and is currently operational. It's affiliated with State Board for class-X & class-XII exams. The school is managed by Department of Education. This is primarily English medium school but Hindi and Bengali is also spoken during classes.

This school has enrolled around seven hundred students who are taught by 24 teachers, thus making the student-teacher ratio of 29 students per teacher. All of the teachers are appointed on Regular basis. Fourteen teachers are Male and remaining ten are Female. The school has one scanner, one LED and one generator in its premises. There is library for students. There are four boys toilets, two girls toilets and two cwsn toilets for students.
