Matakere is a village located in the Heggadadevankote Taluk of Mysuru district of Karnataka. The village falls in Heggadadevankote block and comes under Hyrige Gram Panchayat. It belongs to Chamarajanagar parliament constituency and Heggadadevankote assembly constituency.
