Jammu & Kashmir is one of the eight Union territories of India spread in an area of 42.2 thousands square kilometers. Its population is 1.2 crores which includes urban population of 32 lakhs and rural population of 90.6 lakhs. The sex ratio of Jammu & Kashmir is eight hundred ninety females per 1000 males.
